Abstract
ABSTRAK Pada dunia kontruksi pasti ditemui sambugan las, pengelasan yang sering dipakai adalah pengelasan SMAW. Didalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengelasan SMAW pada baja AISI 1037 dengan elektroda E7018 dan ketebalan plat 10 mm, Sementara kampuh yang di pakai merupakan kampuh V dan kampuh X. Dari perlakuan tersebut akan di uji kekerasan pada logam isian, HAZ dan logam induk tanpa pengaruh panas. Hasil peneltian di peroleh untuk kampuh V logam isian kekerasanya 92.7 HRB lebih rendah dibandingkan kampuh X yaitu 95.1 HRB sementara pada daerah HAZ nilai kekerasan cenderung turun baik pada kampuh V yaitu sebesar 78.4 HRB dan kampuh X 79.5 HRB, disini terjadi perubahan butiran struktur mikro yang menjadi kasar, sementara daerah yang menjauhi daerah HAZ maka kekerasan terjadi kenaikan namun masih dibawah logam isian. Hal ini disebabkan adanya pengaruh panas dari proses pengelasan sehingga kekerasanya berbeda. Kata Kunci: Las SMAW, Material AISI 1037, Pengaruh HAZ ABSTRACT In the world of construction, welding joints are definitely encountered, the welding that is often used is SMAW welding. In this study, SMAW welding will be carried out on AISI 1037 steel with E7018 electrodes and a plate thickness of 10 mm, while the welds used are V welds and X welds. From this treatment, the hardness of the filler metal, HAZ and parent metal will be tested without the influence of heat. The results of the study obtained for the V weld of the filler metal, the hardness is 92.7 HRB lower than the X weld, which is 95.1 HRB, while in the HAZ area the hardness value tends to decrease both in the V weld, which is 78.4 HRB and the X weld, 79.5 HRB, here there is a change in the microstructure grain that becomes rough, while the area away from the HAZ area, the hardness increases but is still below the filler metal.
