Abstract
This research aimed to explore tenth-grade students' attitudes toward the use of digital technology in learning English at SMA Negeri 16 Palembang, identify the most positively perceived Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) construct, and examine whether there was a significant difference in students' attitudes toward digital technology usage based on gender. This study employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design. The sample consisted of 176 tenth-grade students selected through cluster random sampling. The data were collected using a closedended questionnaire self-developed by the researcher, consisting of 36 valid items. This questionnaire measured 5 constructs of TAM proposed by Davis (1989). The data were analyzed using mean score analysis, frequency analysis, and the Mann-Whitney U Test. The findings revealed that students generally had positive attitudes toward the use of digital technology in learning English, with 51.14% categorized as very positive and 44.32% as positive. In addition, Perceived Usefulness (PU) was identified as the most positively perceived TAM construct. Furthermore, the results of the Mann-Whitney Utest indicated that there was no significant difference between male and female students' attitudes toward the use of digital technology in learning English. The findings indicate that digital technology usage is positively accepted and has become an important part of students' English learning activities.
