Abstract

ABSTRAK YOSITA TRESNA GUSDI. “Intensitas Serangan Hama Ulat Api (Setothosea sp.) dan Ulat Kantong (Metisa sp.) Pada Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Belum Menghasilkan (TBM) Dan Tanaman Menghasilkan (TM) di Perkebunan Rakyat Desa Wonosari Kecamatan Pulau Rimau Kabupaten Banyuasin” (Dibimbing oleh Dr. Dewi Meidalima S.P., M.P. dan Miranty Trinawaty, S.P., M.Si.) Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepadatan populasi, intensitas serangan, serta tingkat kerusakan yang disebabkan oleh hama ulat api (Setothosea sp.) dan ulat kantong (Metisa sp.) pada tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) fase Belum Menghasilkan (TBM) berumur 2 (dua) tahun dan 4 (empat) tahun serta Tanaman Menghasilkan (TM) berumur 6 (enam) tahun dan 8 (delapan) tahun di Desa Wonosari, Kecamatan Pulau Rimau, Kabupaten Banyuasin. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada minggu ketiga April 2026 hingga minggu ketiga Mei 2026 dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Pengamatan dilakukan pada 4 (empat) kelompok umur tanaman, dengan masing-masing kelompok terdiri atas 15 pohon sampel, sehingga total sampel yang diamati berjumlah 60 pohon. Variabel yang diamati meliputi kepadatan populasi hama (KPH), jumlah pelepah yang terserang, serta persentase intensitas serangan pada setiap kelompok umur tanaman. Pest Attacks on Oil Palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Immature (TBM) and Mature (TM) Plants in Wonosari Village, Pulau Rimau District, Banyuasin Regency” (Supervised by Dr. Dewi Meidalima S.P., M.P. and Miranty Trinawaty, S.P., M.Si.) This study aims to analyze the population density, attack intensity, and level of damage caused by fireworms (Setothosea sp.) and bagworms (Metisa sp.) on oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) in the Immature Plant (TBM) phase aged 2 and 4 years and Mature Plant (TM) aged 6 and 8 years in people's plantations Wonosari Village, Pulau Rimau District, Banyuasin Regency. The study was conducted from the third week of April to the third week of May 2026 using descriptive methods and purposive sampling techniques. Observations were made on four age groups of plants, with each group consisting of 15 sample trees, so that the total sample observed was 60 trees. The variables observed included pest population density (KPH), the number of fronds attacked, and the percentage of attack intensity in each age group of plants.
