Abstract

ABSTRAK LINDA PURNAMASARI, PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH TERHADAP KINERJA GURU MELALUI MOTIVASI KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING DI SMK NU MUARA PADANG dibawah bimbingan Prof.Dr.H.Siswoyo Haryono,MM.MPd. dan DR.Hj. Tri Suyantiningsih, SE.MM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Pengaruh gaya ABSTRACT LINDA PURNAMASARI, INFLUENCE OF SCHOOL PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP TOWARDS TEACHER PERFORMANCE THROUGH WORK MOTIVATION AS a INTERVENING VARIABLE IN SMK NU MUARA PADANG under the guidance OF Prof. Dr. H. Siswoyo Haryono, MM.MPd. Dan DR.Hj. Tri Suyantiningsih, SE.MM. The research aims to know (1) influence of leadership styles against work motivation, (2) Influence of leadership styles on teacher performance, (3) Effect of work motivation on teacher performance. This research was conducted at SMK NU Muara Padang in Muara Padang District of South Sumatera Banyuasin. Data retrieval is conducted for two months from February 2020 to March 2020. The research method used is a questionnaire with a sample number of 40 teachers. The data analysis methods used are Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that (1) the leadership style was positively and significantly against the work motivation with the T-Statistic value 7.350 ≥ 1.96 (2) Leadership style positively and significantly towards the teacher's performance with a T-statistic value of 2.194 ≥ 1.96 (3) motivation positive and significant impact on teacher's performance with value t-Statistic 10.386 ≥ 1.96 (2) Indirect effect between leadership style, motivation and performance of Guru has greater value when compared with direct influence (direct) style of leadership and the performance of teachers so that the motivation as a variable of mediation is very influential to the performance of Teachers D SMK NU Muara Padang. The teacher's performance variables have an R-Square value of 0.386 meaning that the teacher's performance variables can be explained by the latent variable exogenous (leadership style) by 38.6% while the working motivation variable has a R-Square value of 0.614 meaning that the teacher's performance variables can be explained by the leadership style construct of 61.4%, the higher the value of R-Square, the greater Key words: Work motivation leadership style and teacher performance.
