Abstract
ABSTRAK Sirip digunakan pada alat penukar kalor untuk meningkatkan luasan perpindahan panas antara permukaan utama dengan fluida di sekitarnya. Idealnya, material untuk membuat sirip harus memiliki konduktivitas termal yang tinggi untuk meminimalkan perbedaan temperatur antara permukaan utama dengan permukaan yang diperluas. Adanya kerja perpindahan kalor konveksi paksa pada sirip saluran persegi terjadinya peningkatan perpindahan kalor pada sirip saluran persegi tersebut. Didapatkan hasil dari perbandingan pada penelitian tiga grafik selektor diatas dapat dilihat bahwa temperatur pada tiga bahan mata solder lebih tinggi diselektor terendah, yaitu tembaga 72.5 oC, besi 55.6 oC, dan aluminium 56.1 oC yang menghasilkan koefisien perpindahan panas tembaga, besi, dan aluminium sebesar 35.9 W/m2.K, 36.01 W/m2.K, 36.0 W/m2.K. karena tekanan kecepatan udara yang keluar diselektor terendah hanya 1.2 m/s. Kata kunci : Konveksi Paksa, Sirip Persegi ABSTRACT Fins are used in heat exchangers to increase the area of heat transfer between the main surface and the surrounding fluid. Ideally, the material for making the fins should have a high thermal conductivity to minimize the temperature difference between the main surface and the extended surface. The existence of forced convection heat transfer work on the square channel fins causes an increase in heat transfer in the square channel fins. The results obtained from the comparison in the study of the three selector graphs above, it can be seen that the temperature of the three soldering materials is higher in the lowest selector, namely copper 72.5 oC, iron 55.6 oC, and aluminum 56.1 oC which produces a heat transfer coefficient of copper, iron, and aluminum of 35.9 W/m2.K, 36.01 W/m2.K, 36.0 W/m2.K. because the pressure of the air velocity coming out of the lowest selector is only 1.2 m/s.
