Abstract

aja AISI1050 dapat diperlakukan panas untuk memperbaiki sifat�sifatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan panas temper dan hardening, terhadap sifat mekanik dan stuktur mikro. Pada penelitian ini diuji sifat mekanik (kekerasan rockwell) serta pengamatan metallografi. Pada struktur mikro terdapat fasa martensit dan martensit temper pada baja yang di�temper (200˚C, 300˚C, 400˚C, 500˚C) dan hardening (817˚C). Nilai kekerasan rata-rata pada (hardening) 817˚C 94,5 HRB, 92 HRB (temper 200˚C), 91,74 HRB (temper 300˚C), 91,7 HRB (temper 400˚C), dan 91,1 HRB (temper 500˚C) .
