Abstract

ABSTRAK I NYOMAN GEDE YULINDRA LEO. Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Bokashi Kotoran Sapi terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) Var. Bonanza F1. Dibimbing oleh RIDWAN HANAN dan YULIANTINA AZKA. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis terbaik pupuk bokashi kotoran sapi yang diberikan bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) var. bonanza F1. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tridinanti, di Desa Semambu, Kecamatan Indralaya Utara, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Juni 2021 sampai bulan September 2021. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode percobaan (eksperimen) menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), yang terdapat 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan sehingga ada 25 petakan (satuan percobaan), setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 40 tanaman, maka jumlah tanaman yang diteliti adalah sebanyak 1000 tanaman. Jumlah sampel yang diamati dalam setiap satuan percobaan sebanyak tiga tanaman contoh. Perlakuan yang diteliti adalah P0 (Tanpa pupuk bokashi kotoran sapi atau kontrol), P1 (10 ton/ha bokashi kotoran sapi atau 150 g per lubang tanam), P2 (20 ton/ha bokashi kotoran sapi atau 300 g per lubang tanam), P3 (30 ton/ha bokashi kotoran sapi atau 450 g per lubang tanam), dan P4 (40 ton/ha bokashi kotoran sapi atau 600 g per lubang tanam). Peubah yang diamati tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), umur berbunga (hari), luas daun (cm2 ), berat tongkol berkelobot per tanaman (g), berat tongkol berkelobot per petak (kg), diameter tongkol (mm), dan kadar gula (% Brix). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian pupuk bokashi kotoran sapi berpengaruh baik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) Var. Bonanza F1. Pemberian pupuk bokashi kotoran sapi dosis 300 g per lubang tanam menghasilkan pertumbuhan yang baik pada tinggi tanaman umur 6 mst menghasilkan tinggi rata-rata 201.27 cm sedangkan pemberian pupuk bokashi kotoran sapi dosis 600 g per lubang tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata pada berat tongkol berkelobot per tanaman (18.67 g), berat tongkol berkelobot per petak (6.60 kg), diameter tongkol (49.53 mm) dan kadar gula (18.67 % Brix). ABSTRACT I NYOMAN GEDE YULINDRA LEO. The Effect of Applying Bokashi Fertilizer to Cow Manure on the Growth and Yield of Sweet Corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) Var. Bonanza F1. Supervised by RIDWAN HANAN and YULIANTINA AZKA. This study aims to determine the best dose of cow dung bokashi fertilizer given for the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) var. bonanza F1. This research was conducted in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tridinanti University, in Semambu Village, Indralaya North District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatera Province. The research was carried out from June 2021 to September 2021. This research was conducted using the experimental method (experimental) using the Randomized Block Design method (RBD), which contained 5 treatments and 5 replications so that there were 25 plots (experimental units), each experimental unit consisted of 40 plants, so the number of plants studied was 1000 plant. The number of samples observed in each experimental unit were three sample plants. The treatments studied were P0 (without cow dung bokashi fertilizer or control), P1 (10 tons/ha cow dung bokashi or 150 g per planting hole), P2 (20 tons/ha cow dung bokashi or 300 g per planting hole), P3 (30 tonnes/ha cow dung bokashi or 450 g per planting hole), and P4 (40 tonnes/ha cow dung bokashi or 600 g per planting hole). Variables observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), flowering age (days), leaf area (cm2), weight of cob per plant (g), weight of cob per plot (kg), diameter of cob (mm) , and sugar content (% Brix). Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the application of cow dung bokashi fertilizer has a good effect on the growth and yield of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) Var. Bonanza F1. The application of cow dung bokashi fertilizer at a dose of 300 g planting hole resulted in good growth in plant height at the age of 6 mst producing an average height of 201.27 cm while the application of cow dung bokashi fertilizer at a dose of 600 g planting hole had a very significant effect on the weight of cob plant ( 18.67 g), cob weight plot (6.60 kg), cob diameter (49.53 mm) and sugar content (18.67 % Brix)
