Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dimaksudkan melakukan penerapan atas Quality Control melalui metode Seven Tools pada PT. XYZ dengan melihat potensi dari defect yang terjadi pada produksi cup thermoforming untuk kemudian mengetahui dari pengendalian atas produk defect tersebut. Pada penelitian yang telah dilakukan didapatlah bahwa jenis defect yang umum terjadi pada produksi yakni bibir cup miring, body penyok, body cacat, body tipis, ukuran tidak standar, serta body menggelembung. Jenis defect yang banyak terjadi pada jenis ukuran tidak standar dari hasil control chart yang dilakukan masih tinggi nya tingkat atas defect yang terjadi diluar batas kendali. Dari diagram sebab-akibat yang telah dibuat ditemukan beberapa penyebab dari terjadinya defect seperti pengaturan mesin yang kurang pas, kurang nya perawatan pada mesin, material kurang bagus, SOP yang tidak sesuai, serta terjadinya human error dan kelalaian dari pekerja itu sendiri.
