Abstract

ABSTRAK ENGKY ROLIANDO. Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Kompos Kotoran Kambing Terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Hasil Tanaman Jagung Baby Corn (Zea mays L.). Dibimbing oleh YULIANTINA AZKA dan ROSTIAN NAFERY. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk kompos kotoran kambing terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung baby corn (Zea mays L.). Penelitian ini telah dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Desa Semambu Kecamatan Indralaya Kabupaten Ogan Ilir Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2023 sampai dengan September 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 (lima) perlakuan dan 5 (lima) ulangan. Setiap perlakuan percobaan terdiri dari 30 tanaman, maka jumlah tanaman yang diteliti sebanyak 750 tanaman. Jumlah sampel yang diteliti dalam suatu percobaan berjumlah 5 (lima) tanaman contoh. Perlakuan yang diteliti adalah P0 : 0 kontrol (tanpa pupuk kompos), P1 : 10 ton/ha kompos kotoran kambing (6 kg / petak). P2: 20 ton/ha kompos kotoran kambing (12 kg / petak), P3 : 30 ton/ha kompos kotoran kambing (18 kg / petak) dan P4 : 40 ton/ha kompos kotoran kambing (24 kg / petak). Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot (cm), diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot (mm), berat tongkol tanpa kelobot (g) dan hasil per Petak panen berkelobot (kg). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian takaran pupuk kompos kotoran kambing berpengaruh sangat baik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung baby corn. Perlakuan P2 (20 ton/ha) menghasilkan tinggi tanaman tertinggi 102,40 cm, jumlah daun terbanyak 9,68 helai pada umur 28 hst, menghasilkan panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot per tanaman tertinggi 15,60 cm, diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot per Tanaman tertinggi 18,70 mm, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot tertinggi 49,52 g dan hasil per Petak berklobot tertinggi 2,36 kg ABSTRACT ENGKY ROLIANDO. The Effect of Providing Goat Manure Compost Fertilizer on the Growth and Yield of Baby Corn (Zea mays L.) Corn Plants. Supervised by YULIANTINA AZKA and ROSTIAN NAFERY. This research aims to determine the effect of providing goat manure compost on the growth and yield of baby corn (Zea mays L.) plants. This research was carried out at the Semambu Village Experimental Garden, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The research was carried out from July 2023 to September 2023. The research method used was a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 (five) treatments and 5 (five) replications. Each experimental treatment consisted of 30 plants, so the number of plants studied was 750 plants. The number of samples studied in an experiment was 5 (five) sample plants. The treatments studied were P0 : 0 control (without compost), P1 : 10 tonnes/ha of goat manure compost (6 kg/plot). P2: 20 tons/ha of goat manure compost (12 kg / plot), P3: 30 tons/ha of goat manure compost (18 kg / plot) and P4: 40 tons/ha of goat manure compost (24 kg / plot). The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), length of cobs without husks (cm), diameter of cobs without husks (mm), ear weight per cob without husks (g) and yield per harvest plot with husks (kg) . Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that giving a dose of goat manure compost has a very good effect on the growth and yield of baby corn plants. Treatment P2 (20 tons/ha) produced the highest plant height of 102.40 cm, the highest number of leaves was 9.68 at 28 days after planting, produced the highest cob length without husks per plant of 15.60 cm, the highest diameter of cobs without husks per plant 18 .70 mm, the highest cob weight per cob without husks was 49.52 g and the highest yield per husked plot was 2.36 kg
