Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan penguasaan kalimat efektif dengan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. Jenis penelitian ini ialah deskriptif korelasional dengan metode korelasi yang berfokus menunjukkan ada tidaknya hubungan antar variabel. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik angket dan teknik tes. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik purposive sampling teknik penentuan sampel dengan pertimbangan tertentu dengan uji normalitas, uji linearitas, uji multikolinearitas dan pengujian hipotesis. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X.8 SMA Negeri 2 Palembang sebanyak 41 responden. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah koefisien korelasi hubungan (y) menunjukkan Thitung sebesar 0,943 lebih besar dari Fabel 41 siswa kisaran 5% yaitu 0,3044 untuk penguasaan kalimat efektif terhadap kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa sehingga adanya hubungan yang signifikan, koefisien korelasi hubungan (y). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan penguasaan kalimat efektif dengan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas X.8 SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. Kata kunci: kalimat efektif. teks eksposisi. xii ABSTRACT This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between effective sentence mastery and the ability to write expository texts in class X SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. This type of research is descriptive correlational with a correlation method that focuses on showing whether there is a relationship between variables Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaire techniques and test techniques. Analysis of the data used in this study is a purposive sampling technique of determining the sample with certain considerations with the normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test and hypothesis testing. The source of data in this study were students of class X.8 Palembang 2 SMA as many as 41 respondents. The result obtained is the correlation coefficient of the relationship (Try) show Tcount of 0.943 greater than Table 41 students in the range of 5% namely 0.3044 for effective sentence mastery on students' ability to write exposition texts so that there is a significant relationship, the correlation coefficient of the relationship (Ty). This shows that there is a relationship between effective sentence mastery and the ability to write expository texts in class X8 SMA Negeri 2 Palembang.
