Abstract
ABSTRAC Employee performance is a key factor in achieving organizational goals, particularly within the judicial environment such as the Pengadilan Tinggi Palembang. A conducive work environment and a positive organizational culture are believed to enhance employee motivation, which in turn contributes to improved performance. Work motivation, acting as an intervening variable, plays an essential role in linking the work environment and organizational culture to employee performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment and organizational culture on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through motivation as a mediating variable, among employees of Pengadilan Tinggi Palembang. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 82 permanent employees and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the help of the SmartPLS application. The results show that both the work environment and organizational culture significantly affect employee performance, directly and indirectly through motivation. Furthermore, motivation is proven to have a significant impact on enhancing employee performance. The findings highlight the importance of improving the work environment and organizational culture to achieve organizational goals.
