Abstract
Abstrak KIKI WINATA. Respon Tanaman Mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.) Akibat Pemberian Pupuk Kandang Kotoran Sapi pada Jarak Tanam yang Berbeda. Dibimbing oleh RIDWAN HANAN dan ZULKARNAIN HUSNY. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.) terhadap pemberian pupuk kandang kotoran sapi pada jarak tanam yang berbeda. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tridinanti, Desa Pulau Semambu, Kecamatan Indralaya Utara, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2025. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan yaitu 3 perlakuan takaran pupuk kandang kotoran sapi (4,8 kg dan 9,6 kg/petak) serta 2 perlakuan jarak tanam (40 cm × 40 cm dan 80 cm × 40 cm), diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Peubah yang diamati meliputi panjang sulur utama (cm), jumlah cabang primer (cabang), umur berbunga (hari), jumlah buah per tanaman (buah), berat buah per tanaman (gram), berat buah per petak (kg), dan berat berangkasan basah per tanaman (gram). Hasil sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandang kotoran sapi pada jarak tanam yang berbeda berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap panjang sulur utama (cm), jumlah buah per tanaman (buah), berat buah per tanaman (gram), berat buah per petak (kg), dan berat berangkasan basah(gram), namun berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap jumlah cabang primer pertanaman (cabang) dan umur berbunga (bunga). Perlakuan terbaik diperoleh pada takaran 4,8 kg/petak dengan jarak tanam 40 cm × 40 cm (P1J1) yang menghasilkan panjang sulur utama tertinggi (110,75 cm), jumlah buah per tanaman terbanyak (9,13 buah), berat buah per tanaman tertinggi (1.597,48 g), berat buah per petak terbesar (4,09 kg), dan berat berangkasan basah tertinggi (1.869,20 g). Response of Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) to the Application of Cow Manure at Different Plant Spacings. Supervised by RIDWAN HANAN and ZULKARNAIN HUSNY. This study aimed to determine the response of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) to the application of cow manure at different planting distances. The research was conducted at the Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tridinanti University, Pulau Semambu Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province, from May to June 2025. The experimental design used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six treatments resulting from the combination of cow manure doses ( 4.8 kg and 9.6 kg/plot) and tow plant spacing (40 cm × 40 cm and 80 cm × 40 cm), replicated four times. The observed parameters included main vine length, number of primary branches, flowering age, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per plot, and fresh biomass weight per plant. The of variance showed that cow manure application at different planting distances had a highly significant effect on main vine length, number of fruits per plant, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per plot, and fresh biomass weight, but no significant effect on the number of primary branches and flowering age. The best treatment was 4.8 kg/plot with a spacing of 40 × 40 cm (P1J1), which produced the highest main vine length (110.75 cm), the greatest number of fruits per plant (9.13 fruits), the highest fruit weight per plant (1,597.48 g), the largest fruit weight per plot (4.09 kg), and the highest fresh biomass weight (1,869.20 g).
