Abstract

ABSTRAK Ria Angrayini. Dampak Keberdaan Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Kondisi Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Yang Bekerja Di PT. London Sumatera Desa Bangun Harja Kec. Plakat Tinggi Kabuapten Musi Banyuasin. Dibimbing oleh Ir. Ekanopi Aktiva, MM dan Ir. Ursula Damayanti, MP Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak keberadaan perkebunan kelapa sawit PT. London Sumatera terhadap kondisi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Bangun Harja, Kecamatan Plakat Tinggi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 33 responden yang ditentukan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan perhitungan skor dan indeks persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak keberadaan PT. London Sumatera terhadap kondisi sosial memperoleh nilai indeks rata-rata sebesar 81,88% dengan kriteria Sangat Setuju, sedangkan kondisi ekonomi memperoleh nilai indeks rata-rata sebesar 79,83% dengan kriteria Setuju. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat merasakan perubahan pada aspek pendidikan, kesehatan, organisasi kemasyarakatan, pendapatan, kesempatan kerja, dan kepemilikan aset setelah adanya perusahaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keberadaan PT. London Sumatera memberikan dampak terhadap kondisi sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Bangun Harja. The Impact of the Oil Palm Plantation on the Socioeconomic Conditions of Communities Working at PT. London Sumatera, Bangun Harja Village, Plakat Tinggi District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. Supervised by Ir. Ekanopi Aktiva, MM, and Ir. Ursula Damayanti, MP This study aims to analyze the impact of the oil palm plantation owned by PT. London Sumatera on the social and economic conditions of the community in Bangun Harja Village, Plakat Tinggi District. The study used a quantitative method with a survey approach. The sample size was 33 respondents, determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive analysis with score calculations and percentage indexes. The results showed that the impact of PT. London Sumatera on social conditions achieved an average index value of 81.88%, with the criterion of Strongly Agree, while the economic conditions achieved an average index value of 79.83%, with the criterion of Agree. The research results indicate that the community experienced changes in education, health, community organizations, income, employment opportunities, and asset ownership following the company's presence. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the presence of PT. London Sumatera has impacted the social and economic conditions of the Bangun Harja Village community.
