Abstract

Tujuan perancangan mesin pencacah botol plastik adalah untuk memudahkan para pengepul sampah botol plastik dalam pengepakan dan pengiriman sehingga nilai jualnya pun akan lebih tinggi daripada penjualan sampah plastik utuh. Sampah botol plastik yang telah dicacah bisa didaur ulang menjadi bahan baku pembuatan plastik. Mesin pencacah botol plastik ini menggunakan mata pisau dari sprocket bekas sepeda motor sebanyak 7 pasang. Daya utama penggerak mesin dengan menggunakan motor listrik 1 HP dan dengan putaran poros motor sebesar 1420 rpm. Kapasitas mesin yang dirancang sebesar 2500 gram botol plastik dengan hasil pengujian 9,46 menit.
