Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of job motivation and job satisfaction on the employee performance of the Statistics of Sumatera Selatan Province with organizational commitment as an intervening variable. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study were civil servants at the Statistics of Sumatera Selatan Province. Sensus method is used in this study by giving the questioners to all population of 85 employees. The data analysis technique in this study uses Structural Equation Modelllin-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) analysis which is operated through the SmartPLS 3 program. The results show that partially job motivation has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and employee performance. Partially, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and employee performance. Organizational commitment also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The results of the path analysis show that there is an indirect effect and significant effect between job motivation and job satisfaction to employee performance through organizational commitment.
