Abstract

RA Deby Magdalena, The Influence of Work Environment and Work Discipline on Work Motivation and Its Impact on Employee Performance of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of South Sumatra Province, under the guidance of Dr. Hj. Ir. Sweet, M.P. and Dr. Djatmiko Noviantoro, SE., M.Sc. This study aims to see the effect of the work environment and work discipline on employee performance with motivation as a mediating variable. The research was conducted at the Office of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency of South Sumatra Province with the research subjects being all civil servants with the number of respondents in this study as many as 66 civil servants. The data collection technique was carried out by survey method by distributing questionnaires. While the technical analysis uses the Partial Least Square (PLS) program to examine the effect of the work environment and work discipline on work motivation and its impact on employee performance. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant effect of work environment variables (10,887 1.967) and work discipline (3.299 1.967) on motivation. Work environment variables (3.163 1.967), work discipline variables (3.300 1.967) and work motivation (3.390 1.967) also have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Discipline variable proved to have an indirect effect or in the sense that it can be a mediating variable between work environment variables on employee performance (3.337 1.967). Discipline variable has also been shown to have an indirect effect or in the sense that it can be a mediating variable between work motivation variables on employee performance (2.151 1.967).
