Abstract
Absrtak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penggunaan aplikasi Canva dan minat belajar terhadap kemampuan membuat poster siswa kelas XI SMA Islam Az-Zahrah Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 26 siswa yang dipilih dari kelas XI. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan lembar penilaian hasil karya poster siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diketahui bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan aplikasi Canva dengan kemampuan membuat poster siswa dengan nilai r hitung sebesar 0,255 < r tabel 0,388 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,208. Begitu pula, tidak terdapat hubungan signifikan antara minat belajar dengan kemampuan membuat poster dengan nilai r hitung sebesar 0,221 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,279. Analisis regresi ganda menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Canva dan minat belajar secara simultan juga tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan membuat poster siswa, dengan nilai F hitung sebesar 0,802 < F tabel 2,069 dan signifikansi sebesar 0,460 (> 0,05). Kesimpulannya, baik secara parsial maupun simultan, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara variabel bebas dengan kemampuan membuat poster siswa. Hal ini disebabkan karena belum optimalnya pemanfaatan aplikasi Canva dalam pembelajaran dan metode belajar yang masih konvensional, sehingga siswa belum mendapatkan arahan yang maksimal dalam pengembangan keterampilan visual melalui media tersebut. Kata Kunci: Aplikasi Canva, minat belajar, kemampuan membuat poster. Absrtact This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of the Canva application and learning interest with the ability to create posters among 11th-grade students at SMA Islam Az-Zahrah Palembang. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of 26 students selected from the 11th grade. The instruments used were questionnaires and assessment sheets for students' poster creation. Based on data analysis, there was no significant relationship between the use of the Canva application and students’ poster-making ability, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.255, which is less than the critical value of 0.388, and a significance level of 0.208. Similarly, there was no significant relationship between learning interest and poster-making ability, with a correlation coefficient (r) of 0.221 and a significance level of 0.279. The multiple regression analysis also showed that the Canva application and learning interest, when considered simultaneously, did not have a significant relationship with poster-making ability, as indicated by an F value of 0.802, which is less than the F table value of 2.069, and a significance level of 0.460 (> 0.05). In conclusion, neither partially nor simultaneously do the independent variables have a significant relationship with students’ ability to create posters. This is presumably due to the suboptimal use of the Canva application in the learning process and the conventional teaching methods, which have not yet provided students with sufficient guidance in developing visual skills through digital media.
