Abstract

ABSTRACT Work discipline is a crucial element in building a professional and accountable institution, particularly within the judicial sector. However, issues such as tardiness, rule violations, and low individual responsibility remain prevalent. This study aims to examine the influence of emotional competence and organizational culture on employee work discipline, both directly and indirectly through moral intelligence as a mediating variable at the High Court of Palembang. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 90 employees and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) via SmartPLS software. These findings underscore the importance of developing human resources who are not only technically competent but also emotionally intelligent, supported by a positive organizational culture and strong moral values to enhance work discipline within judicial institutions.
