Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh perbandingan gear ratio original dan aftermarket terhadap performa mesin sepeda motor matic Honda Beat FI. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui pengujian chassis dynamometer (dyno test) pada tiga variasi gear ratio, yaitu 11–46, 12–45 (standar), dan 13–44 dengan beban pengujian sebesar 153 kg. Parameter yang dianalisis meliputi daya, torsi, dan akselerasi kendaraan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gear ratio 11–46 memberikan performa terbaik dengan daya maksimum sebesar 7,97 HP, torsi maksimum 6,18 Nm, dan akselerasi 2,76 m/s², atau meningkat masing-masing sebesar 5,01% (daya) dan 4,39% (torsi) dibandingkan gear ratio standar. Sementara itu, gear ratio 13–44 menghasilkan daya maksimum 7,50 HP, torsi maksimum 5,75 Nm, dan akselerasi 2,15 m/s², yang menunjukkan penurunan performa dibandingkan gear ratio standar. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa variasi gear ratio berpengaruh terhadap performa mesin sepeda motor matic, dan gear ratio 11–46 merupakan konfigurasi yang paling optimal dalam meningkatkan daya, torsi, dan akselerasi. An experimental quantitative approach was employed using a chassis dynamometer (dyno test) with three gear ratio variations, namely 11–46, 12–45 (standard), and 13–44, under a test load of 153 kg. The analyzed parameters included engine power, torque, and vehicle acceleration. The results showed that the 11–46 gear ratio provided the best performance, producing a maximum power of 7.97 HP, a maximum torque of 6.18 Nm, and an acceleration of 2.76 m/s², representing increases of 5.01% in power and 4.39% in torque compared with the standard gear ratio. In contrast, the 13–44 gear ratio produced a maximum power of 7.50 HP, a maximum torque of 5.75 Nm, and an acceleration of 2.15 m/s², indicating lower performance than the standard gear ratio. Therefore, it can be concluded that gear ratio variations significantly affect the engine performance of the Honda Beat FI automatic motorcycle, and the 11–46 gear ratio is the most optimal configuration for improving power, torque, and acceleration.
